We have reserved the Elmwood Park Pavilion for our annual family-friendly picnic and celebration of this French National Holiday. Volunteers are needed to help plan and organize the day’s events.

Join us at the Ruth Sokolof Theater on Saturday, March 23rd at 11:55 a.m. for a Film Streams broadcast of Gounod’s sumptuous Shakespeare adaptation of star-crossed lovers. Le dimanche après-midi du 18 février nous discuterons le roman « L’Anomalie » de Hervé le Tellier. Résumé :
Ce roman oulipien est structuré autour de trois parties, Aussi noir que le ciel, La vie est un songe dit-on, et La chanson du néant, trois extraits de poèmes de Raymond Queneau. La construction temporelle très élaborée des 50 premiers chapitres autour des dates d’atterrissage de deux vols d'un même Boeing, respectivement les 10 mars et 24 juin 2021, montre l'importance des événements qui peuvent se dérouler durant les 106 jours qui les séparent. Il pose, in fine, plusieurs questions sur la réalité du monde et la fiction.
