Alliance Française Omaha has partnered with independent group Café et Conversation Midwest to bring Omaha and the Midwest’s francophones a French conversation event every week of the year!
C&C is a casual weekly meetup to practice/speak French. Whether you are a beginner, native speaker, or somewhere in between, C&C is the group for you! C&C meets at various locations in the Omaha area as well as Lincoln and Sioux City. Events are free to attend and all are welcome.
AFO will share C&C’s events on our website event calendar, but we also encourage you to join the C&C community via their email list, private Facebook group and website below.
OÙ ET QUAND?
Come join C&C for a night of music and French conversation!
We will be meeting at Duck Duck Bottle Shop in Dundee for a bit of French conversation starting at 5:30pm. At 6pm, the French Twists (formerly the French Squares) which include C&C's own Jeff Koterba and Katie Kasher as well as cellist Christina Allred will be playing until 8pm.
After the first gig, we encourage members to make their way to Harney Street Tavern (1215 Harney Street) in the Old Market to see C&C's Ryan Foehlinger and his band Speck Nelson & the Ralstones play from 9pm onwards.
We hope to see you at one or both of the venues for a fun night of French conversation and music!
When you arrive, look for C&C organizer Alicia Jaunty. All levels of French proficiency welcome. We hope to see you there!
