Café et Conversation Midwest 5th Anniversary featuring Charlie from Street French

  • Sonny's in Aksarben 1905 South 67th Street Omaha, NE, 68106 (map)

Alliance Française Omaha has partnered with independent group Café et Conversation to bring Omaha’s francophones a French conversation event every week of the year!

C&C is a casual weekly meetup to practice/speak French. Whether you are a beginner, native speaker, or somewhere in between, C&C is the group for you! C&C meets at various locations in the Omaha area. Events are free to attend and all are welcome.

AFO will share C&C’s events on our website event calendar, but we also encourage you to join the C&C community via their email list and private Facebook group below.

OÙ ET QUAND?

Can you believe it? C&C is turning five and to help us celebrate is the guy who helped us start it all—Charlie from the popular YouTube channel, Street French! If you missed the news, Charlie will be in Omaha for the first time ever!

We'll be meeting at Sonny's—the wonderful outdoor bar area in Aksarben Village, just north of Inner Rail food hall at 2pm on Saturday, May 11th. Plenty of shade and plenty of beverages from their cute airstream trailer bar. Plus, you can always order food from Inner Rail. Oh, and Le Macaron is now also open in Aksarben!

When Jeff Koterba began his French-learning journey five years ago it was Charlie who encouraged him to to start this group. So come help us celebrate and also chat with Charlie. Oh, and you just might pick up some tips—in person—on how the French really speak!
