Alliance Française Omaha has partnered with independent group Café et Conversation Midwest to bring Omaha and the Midwest’s francophones a French conversation event every week of the year!
C&C is a casual weekly meetup to practice/speak French. Whether you are a beginner, native speaker, or somewhere in between, C&C is the group for you! C&C meets at various locations in the Omaha area as well as Lincoln and Sioux City. Events are free to attend and all are welcome.
AFO will share C&C’s events on our website event calendar, but we also encourage you to join the C&C community via their email list, private Facebook group and website below.
OÙ ET QUAND?
We'll be meeting at 5:30pm on Thurday, June 5th at Vive le Rock Lounge.
We will be trying out a new (to us) venue for our first June event! Vive le Rock is a classic rock themed cocktail bar and record store near 120th and Center. They have a full bar with a special emphasis on rock-themed cocktails and mocktails. Happy hour ends at 6pm, so get there before then if you want to take advantage of it! Vive le Rock does not have food for sale, but they do allow people to bring in their own food.
Free parking is available in the lot next to the building.
Most of our regular C&C organizers will be out of town, so our newest organizer, Jennifer McGill, has graciously agreed to organize and host this event (and will also do so for future events from time to time), so please welcome Jennifer to the team!
Let us know that you’re coming by RSVPing below. All levels of French proficiency welcome. We hope to see you there!
