Alliance Française Omaha has partnered with independent group Café et Conversation Midwest to bring Omaha and the Midwest’s francophones a French conversation event every week of the year!
C&C is a casual weekly meetup to practice/speak French. Whether you are a beginner, native speaker, or somewhere in between, C&C is the group for you! C&C meets at various locations in the Omaha area as well as Lincoln and Sioux City. Events are free to attend and all are welcome.
AFO will share C&C’s events on our website event calendar, but we also encourage you to join the C&C community via their email list, private Facebook group and website below.
OÙ ET QUAND?
Please join us in celebrating six years of Café et Conversation! We will meet in Ashland, NE (about halfway between Lincoln and Omaha) for a progressive evening of drinks, French conversation and food. Come for all or part of the event. See below for the schedule:
3:15pm-4pm Drinks at Flutterby Finds (111 North 14th Street): A quaint antique shop and bar with both indoor and outdoor seating
4pm-4:45pm: Apéro at Fariner Bakery (120 North 14th Street): Located just across the street from Flutterby’s, enjoy a glass of wine and share a small plate.
5pm-??? Glacial Till Cider House & Tasting House (1419 Silver Street): A short walk to Glacial Till for dinner and delicious cider. If we are lucky, we might be able to secure a rooftop spot!
When you arrive, look for C&C head organizer Alicia Jaunty or C&C Lincoln organizer Sara Parkening. Let us know that you’re coming by RSVPing below. All levels of French proficiency welcome. We hope to see you there!
