For a century, Europe has known relative peace and general prosperity. By 1914, it is a century since a general war was fought in Europe, and there seemed to be little threat to the Concert of Europe or the vast empires controlled by France, Britain and Russia.

Join us as we study and discuss the last years of peace, the violent 20th century that followed, and how schools of foreign policy try to make sense of what has happened, and how they might inform our own view of today’s questions.
