Dr. Deana Schuman Frink
Deana Frink majored in French at Georgia State University, and then earned the PhD in French at the University of Georgia. Her doctoral dissertation investigated the theme of spirituality in Québécois novels written by women after the “Quiet Revolution”. She taught undergraduate French as a teaching assistant at UGA, including a fun summer teaching UGA students in Montpellier, France. She then worked as an adjunct professor at Oxford College at Emory, after which she taught French in a rural high school in Georgia for 8 years. While she lives in Athens, GA, she was thrilled to be able to participate in a number of “Désir de lire” discussions during 2021-2022. She is very excited to be teaching for AFO!
Deana Frink s'est spécialisée en français à l'Université de Georgia State, puis a obtenu un doctorat en français à l'Université de Georgia (UGA). Sa thèse de doctorat portait sur le thème de la spiritualité dans les romans québécois composés par des femmes après la «Révolution tranquille». Elle a enseigné le français au premier cycle à l'UGA, y compris un été d'enseignement enrichissant à Montpellier, en France. Elle a ensuite été professeure auxiliaire à l'Oxford College (Emory), après quoi elle a enseigné le français dans un lycée rural en Géorgie pendant huit ans. Bien qu'elle habite à Athènes (en Géorgie), elle était ravie de pouvoir participer à un certain nombre de nos discussions "Désir de lire" en 2021- 2022. Elle est très contente de cette occasion d'enseigner pour l'Alliance Française Omaha!
