Eat, Drink, and Be French for a Day!
A festive fundraiser for the Alliance Française Omaha.
Join us on Sunday, July 14th for our Bastille Day Celebration at Corkscrew Wine and Cheese in Rockbrook Village from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Taste the wine, sample the French cuisine, and enjoy the music and festivities! Admission is only $8 if you register online before Saturday, July 13th and $10 at the door on the day of the event. If registering online, just bring a copy of your confirmation email, or show it to us on your cell phone, when you arrive! A free souvenir AFO stemless wine glass will be given for each paid admission. Children under 10 are admitted free!

Bastille Day is referred to in France as la Fête Nationale or le quatorze juillet. It commemorates the events in Paris on the 14th of July, 1789, when the storming of the grand fortress, the Bastille, marked the beginning of the French Revolution.

The Corkscrew’s wonderful variety of wines will be for sale, as well as delicious samplings of breads, meat and cheeses, crèpes, plus delectable treats from the French bakery Le Petit Paris. You can also purchase one of our genuine French Berets or French/American pins and take a little bit of France home with you!
Fun Activities for All Ages!
Fun activities for all ages include jugglers, a puppet show for kids, a visit from the Omaha Children’s Museum, and several opportunities for everyone to soak up some French culture and language.
